Lundy Island
The main diving area of Lundy island is a protected marine nature reserve. The island lies at the mouth of the Bristol channel and is washed by the Gulf Stream, providing a haven for some of the richest marine life to be found outside the tropics.
The Boat
Obsession 2 operates out of Ilfracombe, North Devon, providing a safe, spacious and comfortable environment for 12 divers. The boat has ample space both on deck and within the main cabin to store equipment and relax watching the pods of dolphins, basking sharks and seals on the way to the island. For your further comfort a tail lift is provided to make re-boarding hassle free.
Diving
There are over 40 dive sites around the island with a mix of wrecks, reefs, drop offs and pinnacles, all offering a fantastic array of marine life due to its no take fishing zone and marine park status. One of the main reasons divers love to dive Lundy Island is the regular encounters with the prolific and extremely friendly grey seals which can be very exhilarating.
