Advanced Scuba Training

Enrolling on an SSI speciality course is a great way to hone your skills and learn some new ones, letting you fully immerse yourself in the sport you have decided is for you. Choose your personal combination of training and diving experience to reach your diving goals. The SSI Continuing Education Programme uses a flexible approach where you only need to take the speciality courses that are of interest to you. At Dive 90 we will ensure you gain the skills and experience to make you a more confident and independent diver, and enjoy yourself at the same time.

Emergency Training

Diver Stress and Rescue

Stress is a major cause of diving accidents and negatively impacts on rescue situations. This programme teaches you the skills and knowledge required to recognise and deal with stress, prevent accidents and properly deal with emergency situations encountered by divers. You will earn the SSI Diver Stress and Rescue Specialty certification after completing this programme.

Diver Emergency

Diver Stress and Rescue + React Right combo

Learn how to recognise and deal with stress, prevent accidents and properly manage emergency situations if they occur. React Right is SSI’s emergency training programme, consisting of the following basic components: Primary Assessment, First Aid and CPR Skills, Primary Stabilisation Techniques, and includes two optional components: Oxygen Administration in Diving Emergencies and Automated External Defibrillation Basics. Students who complete this programme earn the SSI React Right speciality certification.

Perfect Buoyancy

Do you want to increase your buoyancy control, minimise your breathing gas consumption or move effortlessly above the ocean floor? The SSI Perfect Buoyancy programme teaches you the skills and techniques needed to maximise your dive experience, increase your comfort in the water and get the most from your equipment. You will earn the SSI Perfect Buoyancy Speciality certification.

Night & Limited Visibility

This programme provides the skills and concepts required to safely and comfortably dive at night or in limited visibility conditions. Some of the ocean’s most amazing creatures only come out at night, so your dive does not have to finish when the sun goes down. You will learn how to enter and exit the water, use specialised equipment and how to communicate and dive with a buddy at night or in limited visibility. You will earn the SSI Night Diving and Limited Visibility Speciality certification after completing this programme.

Enriched Air Nitrox

The SSI Enriched Air Nitrox programme will teach you how to safely plan and dive with enriched-air mixtures of up to 40% oxygen. Diving with enriched air can increase your no-decompression limits, increase your safety and reduce the required length of your surface intervals when compared to air-use diving. You will earn the SSI Enriched Air Nitrox 32% or 40% certification after completing this programme.

Gas Blender
